FAQ
What homeowners usually ask
Why do you ask for my address first?
We use your address to estimate whether Solar API data is available for your property and to show a satellite-based roof view before you request a report. That makes the experience feel much more real than a generic calculator because the estimate starts from an actual home rather than a broad average.
The address step also helps us keep the next questions shorter. Once we identify the property, we can focus on energy usage and contact details instead of asking you to manually describe the roof, orientation or neighborhood.
Does this only work for homes in Canada?
Yes. This calculator is currently set up to accept only Canadian addresses. That keeps the geocoding, solar assumptions and follow-up messaging aligned with the market you want to target right now.
If someone enters an address outside Canada, the form will stop before the roof analysis step. That is intentional so the leads arriving in your inbox are more relevant and easier to convert.
Is the roof image exact?
The roof step is based on mapping imagery and solar data made available for the selected location. It gives a strong visual starting point, but it should still be treated as a preliminary planning view rather than a final engineering layout.
A real installer will still confirm usable roof sections, obstructions, setbacks, shading, structural constraints and local code requirements before recommending a final system design.
What does the panel range mean?
The panel range is a quick estimate of how many modules a property could reasonably support based on the roof data available to us and the assumptions in this calculator. It is meant to help homeowners imagine the scale of the opportunity before asking for a deeper review.
It is not a firm installation commitment. The exact number can change after an installer reviews the property, electricity profile, equipment choice and the parts of the roof that are truly usable in practice.
What do I get if I submit my details?
At the end of the calculator, the homeowner can request a fuller solar report by providing first name, last name, email and mobile number. That creates a much clearer lead handoff than a simple click-through because the person has already seen an address-based roof view and an estimated system direction.
From there, Solaritix can follow up with a more detailed conversation, qualification, pricing discussion or installer match depending on how you want to run the funnel.
